AL-MUVEDRE

GRAPE: Monastrell.

APPELLATION: Alicante DOP.

VINIFICATION: Made with 100% Monastrell from more than 80 years old bush pruned vines. The soils of the area where we work historically, are predominantly calcareous and with a sandy or sandyloam structure sometimes with pebbles on the surface.Very poor inorganic matter and with very limited yields and production.

Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in inox and cement tanks. 8/9months of aging.

TASTING NOTES: Al-muvedre is a monovarietal wine from Monastrell, which represents the spirit of the Mediterranean, this more southern and luminous expression which Monastrell manages to offer in a unique way.

FOOD PAIRING: Pairs well with just about any hearty and meaty dish, from hamburgers and pizza to short ribs, veal, pork, lamb, sausage, and other meats, especially grilled meats. The perfect wine for your next barbecue!

Tech Sheet:

PRODUCER: Since its origin, the main purpose of Compañia de Vinos Telmo Rodriguez  is the use only of native varieties from original areas. This philosophy contrasts with the boom of the implantation of foreign varieties, practically throughout the Spanish vineyard. Another of the initiatives to which the project wants to pay special attention, also from its origins, is the recovery of forgotten vineyards.
